CFPB Announcement on Proposed Extension of TRID Implementation DateThe Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has officially moved the effective date of the Know Before You Owe mortgage disclosure rule, to October 3, 2015. The rule, also called the TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure rule, requires easier-to-use mortgage disclosure forms that clearly lay out the terms of a mortgage for a homebuyer. The Bureau is issuing the proposal to correct an administrative error that would have delayed the effective date of the rule by at least two weeks, until August 15 at the earliest. The CFPB is proposing a new effective date of Saturday, October 3. The Bureau believes that moving the effective date may benefit both industry and consumers with a smoother transition to the new rules. The Bureau further believes that scheduling the effective date on a Saturday may facilitate implementation by giving industry time over the weekend to launch new systems configurations and to test systems. A Saturday launch is also consistent with existing industry plans tied to the original effective date of Saturday, August 1. The proposal was open for public comment until July 7th. RANW will host a program on the new TILA-RESPA disclosure rules in late August or early September. Calling All Direct Givers!August marks the last month of RANW's official Direct Giver fundraising season. Although you can contribute to Direct Giver anytime during the year, we try to wrap up contributions before fall which starts RPAC fundraising season.
So, if you are one of our loyal yearly contributors to Direct Giver, or are thinking of becoming a Direct Giver this year, please try to get your contributions in this month!
You can contribute in one of two ways:
1) Send a personal check payable to WRA Direct Giver (minimum of $100) and mail to RANW, W6124 Aerotech Drive, Appleton WI 54914
2) Pay via credit card online or call Jennifer at 920.739.9108 and she will call in your information to WRA. Take Action on Patent Trolls! The NAR Call-to-Action needs a bigger response in Wisconsin. Currently, about 16% of all WRA members have responded to this CTA. We can do better. This Patent Troll Call for Action was launched on July 13. As of today we have 10 states that have reached the 20% participation goal (AR, IA, KS, MN, MS, MO, MT, ND, SD, UT, VT).
I am asking you today to call five friends and get them to take action.
The Issue: NAR supports H.R. 9, "The Innovation Act." The Act closes loopholes in our legal system that allows patent trolls to thrive. Patent trolls are targeting REALTORS®, Brokers and Multiple Listing Services at alarming rates for simply using common business technologies like drop down menus and search functions on websites or scan-to-email technologies found in every office scanner. It's incredibly alarming and something we all should be concerned about.
~ Learn how patent trolls target REALTORS® as end-users of mapping, search functions & scan-to-email technologies.
Get out there and push your REALTOR® friends to take action! Every click counts. Thank you!

Important Notice Regarding Windows 10 UpgradeOn July 29th, Microsoft released Windows 10 as a free upgrade to its operating system. This Windows upgrade will include Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11), which is the same version of Internet Explorer included with Windows 8. IE 11 is fully compatible with the InnoVia MLS system.
Windows 10 also includes a brand new browser called "Edge." CoreLogic has been testing the InnoVia system with pre-release versions of the new Edge browser and has not discovered any issues. If any issues are discovered after the official launch of Windows 10, we will make every effort to promptly resolve them or provide a workaround so users can continue using the InnoVia system with the Edge browser.
We want to remind you that users are not required to use the new Edge browser. Users can continue to use the IE 11 browser, which has been successfully used with InnoVia since the fall of 2013. The Chrome and Firefox browsers also work very well with InnoVia.
On a related note, please be advised that InnoVia no longer supports the use of IE9, since Microsoft has discontinued support for this older browser version. Users with older versions of Windows that do not support upgrading to IE 10 or IE 11 should consider using the Chrome or Firefox browser to access InnoVia. Let Your Listing Shine ~ Listing Reminders from Data Entry1. Make sure the listing contract is completely filled in and signed by both the seller(s) and the Listing Agent.
~ The municipality that is indicated on the contract must match what is entered in InnoVia.
~ The effective date of the listing is either the listing date on the listing contract or the date of first signature of the seller, whichever is later. It is not when the listing was entered into InnoVia.
2. When entering the street name, use the correct street suffixes. Do not write out Road, Lane, etc. and do not use punctuation. If MLS corrects the street name after you have mapped your listing, your mapping will revert back to the automated status, and this triggers the system to send you an email to remap the listing.
3. If a letter is part of the street number (example: W1872) enter the letter in the Street Number field rather than the Direction field.
4. If Other-See Remarks is checked for any field there must be an explanation included in the Public Remarks. If there is not enough room, the Public Remarks will need to be revised in order for it to fit.
5. If a listing is going to be withheld from MLS for any reason, a copy of the listing contract must be sent to MLS within 5 business days of the list date (or the date of first signature of the seller, whichever is the later). If the contract is not sent to MLS within the 5 business days you may be billed for a late listing.
6. For the field Lot Info, "Common" is only used when the property is a condo. The "Irregular" option is a supplement to the other lot fields, so one or more of the Est. Acreage, Est. Lot Size and/or Est. Total SqFt of the Lot (plus the source) must be filled in.
And, specifically for offices that do Listing Maintenance:
7. If there is a price change and an extension on one amendment it must be uploaded to the PDF Documents as both Contract Amendment Price and Contract Amendment Expiration Date Change.
8. If a price change/extension is made, the Amendment is required to be uploaded to the listing immediately after the change is made and saved online. RPR Product ReleaseOn July 28, 2015, RPR® released version 1.42, marking RPR's 43rd major release since 2010. In this release, RPR introduced a number of enhancements including:
~ Economic Area Report & Commercial Trade Area Report: The unemployment data found in the federal and local versions of the Economic Area Report, as well as the Commercial Trade Area Report now contains monthly unemployment data, so recipients of these reports can better compare employment trends in their area.
~ Seller's Report: Clearer explanations have been added to the "Recommended Pricing Strategy" section of the Sellers Report. This enhancement is designed to help report recipients better understand the properties and prices reflected.
For the complete release notes, visit the RPR Help Desk. MLS StatsDon't forget - "MLS Stats" are available to MLS members - it allows members to quickly and easily pull statistical reports from the MLS data. Under the Misc menu, or by using the MLS Stats button on the right side of the My InnoVia screen, members will log in to the stats program with their InnoVia login and password, and then choose from a variety of reporting options.
