RANW will be hosting "Being Reviewed & Completing Residential Appraisal Review", Tuesday, January 20th in Appleton.  Every appraisal report you submit goes through some form of appraisal review either through your appraisal software, underwriter or a third-party appraisal review organization. This class will focus on completing residential appraisal reviews and how to handle questions when one of your own appraisals is being reviewed. It will look in detail at each section of the appraisal report with exercises to reinforce inconsistencies, USPAP errors and lack of support that require the review appraiser to make "leaps of faith" to understand the report.

REALTOR & Government Day ~ Wednesday, March 11th - Save the Date

Mark your calendars for the 2015 REALTOR® & Government Day for Wednesday, March 11th.

RANW Made Its 2014 RPAC Goal!

RANW would like to sincerely thank everyone who contributed to RPAC or the Direct Giver Program for 2014. In the midst of a slow economic recovery, RANW members once again demonstrated their support for the Association's legislative and political involvement. As a result, during this past election season, REALTORS® were able to support those legislators who have stood by the real estate industry, as well as new legislators who play a critical role in our 2015 legislative session. Congratulations and thank you for making this a successful year!
I would like to give a very special thank you to the RANW Government Affairs Committee Chair Jane Chariton and all the members of the Committee who helped develop and implement the Association's RPAC plan for this year. A full list of 2014 Direct Givers will run in the February newsletter.

Update Tax Information on Your Active Listings

Reminder to all members: If your listing is still active in the new year, MLS requires that the Net Taxes amount and Tax Year be updated to reflect the new year’s tax information. Listing Maintenance offices can update their own listings; those members who do not use Listing Maintenance should submit a Status Sheet noting the change.

Manually Map Your Listings!!!

Although the percentages are improving, MLS has found that despite weekly emails to companies and individual emails per listing from Data Checker - far too many MLS members are STILL not manually mapping their listings. When listings are not manually mapped and saved, they usually will not be found on map-based searches, will not be added to prospect carts, and are not being shared with buyers.
It is not enough to simply look at the mapped location. Even if the property looks like it is in the correct location, members must follow a few extra clicks to ensure that they have manually mapped and saved the listing location.
Easy instructions can be found
here

Weekly Mapping Email to Companies
MLS member companies receive a weekly email reminding them of any listings that have not been manually mapped, even when the automatically mapped location is considered “Good.” It is important for members to manually map and save the location of ALL of their listings; that is the only way to include a mapped location in WIREX, the only way to include geo-coordinates in RANW MLS data feeds, and it’s the best way to make sure your listing is in the correct location when viewed on a map.

Is Your Virtual Tour Branded?

Your Virtual Tour must not include agent or company names, URLs, email addresses, readable company signs/logos or links to that information.
Recently, some Virtual Tour providers have begun to roll out “mobile” versions of the tours that are branded with the listing agent/company’s contact information – even though you cannot see that information on the PC version of the tour. Members must be careful to check and make sure that no branding is viewable no matter what method a viewer uses to see the tour.

Lockbox Program

"Key Update Successful" - But DisplayKey Dead at the Property~How Embarrassing

Take less than one minute a day!
If you called in for an update code for your Supra DisplayKey and it displays "Key Update Successful", the update may not really have been successful, and your key may malfunction at ANY time.  Although your DisplayKey may have been updated, it DID NOT empty the showing data.
If you are not regularly emptying the key data, you will not know when or where your key will malfunction -- could be when you are with Buyers at a property showing. That is because there is too much data inside the DisplayKey, so it will just shut down and error out -- even if you had a "successful update".
You must sync your key in one of two ways: (1) setting key on a cradle for less than 1 minute and manually syncing key OR (2) cradling key overnight. DO BOTH in less than 1 minute, get your update code and get the showing data off your key by manually syncing your key regularly! If you forget to sync at home, your company should have an office cradle for your convenience.
If you have questions or need assistance, please call RANW MLS or Supra. Thanks for making your system a better service for yourself and fellow members!

Is Santa Bringing You A New Phone or Tablet?

Don't forget to pair your fob to your new device as well as obtain a new activation code for your ekey app.  You  can get your new activation code by either calling the RANW, calling Supra or simply log in to your SupraWeb account.
Here's a reminder of all the things you can do through the SupraWeb:
*Obtain an Authorization Code to install the eKEY software if you get a  new phone
*Obtain an update code for a DisplayKEY or eKEY
*View and send showing feedback
*View, email and schedule activity reports
If you haven't already, please take a minute to set up SupraWEB.
