NAR Ethics Training Deadline ~ Fulfill Your Ethics Obligation by 12-31-16

Under NAR policy, all REALTORS® are required to complete 2.5 hours of quadrennial ethics training between 1-1-13 and 12-31-16.  If you do not fulfill your membership ethics requirement by 12-31-16, you will lose your REALTOR® membership and consequently your company's access to MLS if you are also an MLS Participant.

Forms Updates Effective July 1st, 2016

The WB-1 Residential Listing Contract and the WB-42 Amendment to Listing Contract have been updated by the Real Estate Examining Board of the Department of Safety and Professional Services. The updated WB-1 and updated WB-42 have mandatory use dates of July 1, 2016. However, these forms are unusual because they have no optional use date.
The Disclosure to Clients form will be used to update listings and other agency agreements that will have incorrect disclosure language starting July 1 until they are updated by the REEB. Beginning July 1, all such forms appearing in zipForm will have the old language lined out and will automatically appear together with the new Disclosure to Clients.

Congratulations, Mike Kunesh, RANW President-Elect

The 2016 Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Mike Kunesh, broker of The Commercial Place in Appleton and Place Perfect Realty in Green Bay has been elected President-Elect of RANW for 2016. As an officer, will also serve on the Executive Committee. Mike will assume the office of President on January 1, 2017. Our thanks to Mike for his willingness to serve in this leadership role!

RANW will offer a full series of Residential Continuing Education in Appleton and Green Bay in October. 2016 is the last year to completed NAR's mandated Ethics training to maintain REALTOR® membership AND December 14th is the deadline to renew any real estate licenses with the DSPS.

Link Your RPR Account to zipForms

REALTORS® using zipForm® can now link their RPR account with their zipForm® account. This integration then allows for select public records data fields from RPR to flow directly into a new zipForm® transaction. Likewise, REALTORS® can access RPR directly from their zipForm® account. In addition, this latest version of RPR includes a new Help Widget that makes accessing customer support articles from within RPR seamless. Calling All Direct Givers!

June-August is RANW's official Direct Giver fundraising season. Although you can contribute to Direct Giver anytime during the year, we try to wrap up contributions BEFORE fall which starts RPAC fundraising season. Also, candidates are currently trying to raise money NOW, for the fall elections and they really could use support from your Direct Giver account. So, if you are one of our loyal yearly contributors to Direct Giver, or are thinking of becoming a Direct Giver this year, please try to get your contributions in this month!
You can contribute in one of two ways:
1)    Send a personal check payable to WRA Direct Giver (minimum of $100) and mail to RANW, W6124 Aerotech Drive, Appleton WI 54914
2)    Pay via credit card online or call Jennifer at RANW at 920.739.9108 and she will call in your information to WRA.

MLS

MLS Changes MLS Vendors in January

As we announced earlier this year and updated last month, RANW MLS will be implementing a new MLS System in January of next year. The new System is Paragon from Black Knight MLS Solutions, the same system used by one of our WIREX partners, South Central (Madison) MLS, as well as Central WI MLS. Here are a few highlights -- Updates will follow as we move forward.

Data Conversion: A member Work Group has been working with staff on the design of the new Paragon System, coordinating it with the standardization of the shared database for WIREX. These two projects will be integrated in the rollout of Paragon. From InnoVia, MLS plans to convert Current Listings and History, Associated Documents, Listing Photos, Virtual Tours, Open House/Tour Info, User info and Photos. We will also convert as much Prospect and Contact information as we can. Paragon will not be able to convert Saved Searches, Hotsheets, and CMAs.

Testing and Review: Testing will be done by the Paragon Team and MLS Work Group to ensure the database is converted properly, but your help will be important too. During the testing periods planned for late fall, we will run our current InnoVia system parallel to the new Paragon system. It will be very important when MLS sends the company special notices regarding your listings that you have a review process in place so you can respond timely. For companies, the conversion will also affect your RETS data feeds set up with RANW MLS. Communication will be going out to you -- and to your vendors -- to keep you in the loop so that you'll know what to expect for changes to your data feeds.

Training and Support: Paragon Trainers will offer live in-person Essentials of Paragon training in January at RANW and at several offsite locations beginning January 9th. Advanced training will follow in the first part of February. Recorded videos of the training will also be available online, along with webinars covering Paragon Essentials. Paragon's training offerings are amazing, including videos, user guides, and regular webinars; RANW will also offer in-person training ongoing as needed.

Extended Support - New: Paragon will offer direct support to members during regular daytime hours (along with RANW MLS support), and evenings and weekends.

Is Your eKEY Fob Slowing You Down?

Follow the instructions below to give it a little housecleaning:
If your fob is smooth on back, simply taking the batteries out and putting them back will reset the fob. If your of fob has 3 bumps on the back, you can follow the instructions below to reset.
Instructions to reset fob:
1. Open the BT on your phone and unpair or forget device with your fob. (if you haven’t renamed, it will say “Supra” with some additional numbers and/or letters)
2. Turn off your BT, then power down your phone.
3. On your fob; hold down the gray button until the green light begins to flash. Then press down 5 times quickly on the gray button. The green flash should stutter (flash very quickly) then turn off.
4. Turn your device back on and open the BT and turn that back on.
5. In your BT, find the fob (the green light will need to be flashing again) then pair device to fob.

~ Sue Lang in the recent passing of her brother Gary Haffeman.  Sue is a REALTOR® and Gary was a REALTOR® both with Adashun Jones, Inc. in Oshkosh.

~ Gail, Grant and Kelly Schwab in the recent passing of Dennis Schwab, Gail's husband and Grant and Kelly's father.  Dennis was Broker/Owner of First Weber Group in Oshkosh, a long-time REALTOR® and Past-President of the Oshkosh Realtors Association.
