Mandatory New WB-01 & WB-42 Coming Soon

The WB-01 (Residential Listing Contract) and WB-42 (Amendment to the Listing Contract) are being revised. The new WB-01 will only have a mandatory use date of July 1st, no optional use date. NAR Ethics Training Deadline ~ Fulfill Your Ethics Obligation by 12-31-16

Under NAR policy, all REALTORS® are required to complete 2.5 hours of quadrennial ethics training between 1-1-13 and 12-31-16.  If you do not fulfill your membership ethics requirement by 12-31-16, you will lose your REALTOR® membership and consequently your company's access to MLS if you are also an MLS Participant.

RANW MLS Optional Data Feed Service Offered to Company

Many of our member companies used to send their company listings to Zillow through List Hub until that agreement was terminated by the two parties. At the request of many member brokers, MLS reached an agreement with Zillow and will now be able to send company listings collectively to Zillow through MLS. This is an OPT-IN subscription service by each individual company. The MLS sent an informational email to all MLS Participants in mid-May. 
MLS Participants interested in subscribing to this service will need to fill out the RANW MLS Listing Syndication Service Agreement and submit to RANW MLS.

MLS Changes MLS Vendors in January

MLS is excited to confirm that we will change vendors and MLS software systems in January 2017. Our new vendor will be Black Knight MLS Solutions; the system will be Paragon. You may have read in industry news that Paragon has won Clareity Consulting's Top Honors in Customer Satisfaction for the last 4 years. Many of the changes to MLS outlined in this newsletter are in preparation for this very significant vendor change. Watch for details in the coming months about the transition process.

New! Year-Built Field Coming Soon

In preparation for some upcoming changes to the MLS database and program, a new Year-Built age field will be added to Listing Maintenance for Residential listings. This field will not appear on search screens or displays until 2017, but the MLS has chosen to begin accumulating data on our listings. All members will be able to add the Year-Built to their residential listings, either through Listing Maintenance, or by submitting a Status Sheet. Watch for more information to come!

REMINDER: Report Status Changes within 3 Business Days

RANW MLS would like to remind all members that status changes, including the Offer Status on Active listings as well as reporting Pending and eventually Closed statuses, must be reported to the MLS within three (3) business days of that status change per the RANW MLS Rules and Regulations.
Note:  Offers with Bump and Offers Without Bump, statuses show in MLS Innovia only.  Listings with Pending status are now showing in MLS AND public websites as mandated by NAR.  If you have questions, please contact the MLS.

MLS Basics Class & Listing Maintenance Training

Effective immediately, the MLS Basics class will no longer be a pre-requisite for a member to attend the Listing Maintenance training class. MLS Basics remains a prerequisite for taking the Prospect Manager/Buyer Match class, and is still very strongly recommended for all members.
For those members not attending MLS Basics, they should review all of the information available on the
RANW Submit a Listing page, as well as the training documentation available on InnoVia's Help Topics page under the headings "MLS Basics: Listing Submission" and "MLS Basics: The Basics of Using InnoVia". This, in addition to reviewing the MLS Rules and Regulations, will provide much of the information generally covered in the MLS Basics class.

MLS Areas Are Going Away

Programmers are working on the removal of MLS Area Numbers from the MLS. This field will be removed from data sheets, listing maintenance input screens, RETS and data feeds for use on your websites and will no longer be searchable.
For those members who have saved MLS Area numbers in Prospect Searches or Hotsheets, it is very important that the MLS number be replaced with another geographic search field such as County, Municipality, Municipal Sub-Area, School District, Zip Code and/or a Map-Based Search. Members can also set up saved searches with common parameters such as selected municipalities or mapped areas, and use those as templates for searching. Having this information saved in the system will make it very easy to retrieve and build on rather than having to enter the geographic area from scratch every time.
If you do not update your prospect records to use some other geographic selection field, the prospect record will not have any geographic search parameters, and your customers will receive listings from anywhere and everywhere in our MLS. ~ For general Search Criteria help, including how to use pick lists (County, Municipality, School District, Municipal Sub-Area), see our

~ For details on the Municipal Sub-Areas, which were designed to mimic some of the MLS Area Numbers, review this information here.
~ For instructions on how to Save and Retrieve Search Criteria, click here.
~ The best way to pinpoint locations for your client's searches is to use a Map-Based Search. Using the Polygon, Circle, and Rectangle drawing tools allow you to specify an exact area (or multiple areas on the same map) where properties will be located in your search results. Map-Based Searches can be used for any property type search, for Hotsheets, AND for Prospect Manager! Step-by-step instructions are found here. Make sure YOUR listings are found when other members use Map-Based Searches! Check and manually save your listing's location via the Listing Inventory report.

MLS Stats

Don't forget - "MLS Stats" are available to MLS members - the program allows members to quickly and easily pull statistical reports from the MLS data. Under the Misc menu, or by using the MLS Stats button on the right side of the My InnoVia screen, members will log in to the stats program with their InnoVia login and password, and then choose from a variety of reporting options. Check the 2015 year end for the entire MLS or specific municipalities.

iPhone 9.3.1 and eKEY Fob

Supra has received reports of some customers experiencing difficulties opening the iBox with an eKEY Fob using an iPhone 6/6S that has iOS 9.3.1. This issue appeared when iOS 9.3.1 was released and is affecting a small number of members.

Supra eKEY Apple and Android OS Updates

Apple iOS 9.3.2
Apple recently released operating system iOS 9.3.2 for iPhones and iPads. Supra completed testing of the new iOS with the eKEY app and are happy to announce there are no issues.
Android 6.0.1
Android recently released operating system OS 6.0.1 for Android devices. With this release, the More option (…) no longer displays in the eKEY app or other apps. The More option allows access to additional menu options. To access these additional menu options with an Android device using OS 6.0.1, follow the instructions available here to turn on the
Assistant Menu.

As of January 1, 2015, the policy now requires service on a local, state or national association committee as well.  Applicants received by October 7th will qualify for the waiver in 2017.

Sincere Condolences

RANW would like to extend its sincerest condolences to the family, friends, and co-workers of:
~ Linda, Tim and Jaeger Freudenthal in recent passing of Linda's father, Tim's father-in-law and Jaeger's grandfather.  Linda is the Broker/Owner of Century 21 Affiliated in Wautoma where Jaeger is a REALTOR® as well.  Tim is a REALTOR® with Wisconsin Real Estate Services, Wautoma and Newmark Grubb Pfefferle, Appleton.

~ David Swette in the recent passing of his father Don Swette. David is a REALTOR® with Appraisers, Inc. of Green Bay, which Don started many years ago.  Don was a REALTOR® with RANW member for many years before his retirement.

Karen Genett in the recent passing of her son.  Karen is a REALTOR® with First Weber, Inc. in Appleton.
