New Paragon MLS System Coming Soon! For the latest Paragon system information, please click here. MLS Area Field Will Be Removed Today ~ Don't Lose Your Prospects!MLS has been reminding members to update their Saved Search criteria (including Prospects and Hotsheets) to use a different geographic locator field such as County, Municipality, School District, zip code, and/or mapping. If these saved searches have not been updated, the MLS Area removal will leave those searches with no geographic criteria at all. Please see the helpful information below, as previously shared via the RANW Newsletter and InnoVia's Board News:
MLS Areas Are Going Away - How to Search Without Them
The MLS Area field will disappear from the MLS mid-2016. This field will no longer appear on data sheets or listing maintenance, and will no longer be searchable. In preparation for this change, MLS recommends that members begin using other geographic search fields such as County, Municipality, Municipal Sub-Area, School District, Zip Code and/or a Map-Based Search for all saved searches including Prospects and Hotsheets.
Members can also set up saved searches with common parameters, such as selected municipalities or mapped areas. Having this information saved in the system will make it very easy to retrieve and build on, rather than having to enter the geographic area from scratch every time.
~ For general Search Criteria help, including how to use pick lists (County, Municipality, School District, Municipal Sub-Area), see our How To Search document.
~ For additional information on the Drill Down tools used for County, Municipality and School District, see our document here.
~ For details on the Municipal Sub-Areas, which were designed to mimic some of the MLS Area Numbers, review the information here.
~ Click here for instructions on how to Save and Retrieve Search Criteria.
The best way to pinpoint locations for your client's searches is to use a Map-Based Search. Using the Polygon, Circle, and Rectangle drawing tools allow you to specify an exact area (or multiple areas on the same map) where properties will be located in your search results. Map-Based Searches can be used for any property type search, for Hotsheets, AND for Prospect Manager! Find step-by-step instructions here.
Make sure YOUR listings are found when other members use Map-Based Searches! Check and manually save your listing's location via the Listing Inventory report. Late Listing Waiver Form UsageMLS Rules state that listings must be submitted to MLS with the signed contract within 5 business days of the listing date on the contract (10 days for Commercial Industrial listings). If the completed listing will not be submitted to MLS within that time frame, members may use a Late Listing form to notify MLS of the late listing, and the reasons why the listing will be late, and possibly avoid late listing fees.
The Late Listing form and Listing Contract should be submitted to MLS's data entry department before the 5 business day grace period has expired. For companies performing Listing Maintenance, once the late listing is entered into InnoVia, the Late Listing form should be uploaded as a PDF document at the same time the Listing Contract is uploaded. That way, data entry has all of the information and they can match the listing with the late waiver forms they've received.
If the Late Listing form was not provided to data entry with the listing contract before the listing is beyond the grace period, MLS may not be able to waive any late fees or fines. The Late Listing form can be found here. The Village of Fox Crossing and the Town of Menasha Have Been Reunified! On Thursday, September 22, 2016, the Village of Fox Crossing Board of Trustees unanimously approved an ordinance adjusting the municipal boundary line between the Village of Fox Crossing and the Town of Menasha, attaching most of the Town of Menasha to the Village. The boundary change came as a result of the Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement approved by both the Village of Fox Crossing and the Town of Menasha in August. A small Town of Menasha remnant consisting of three parcels will be annexed into the City of Menasha or the Village of Fox Crossing at a later date.
Members: Please remember to update your listings!
Click here for a copy of the boundary change ordinance, along with the revised map of the Village of Fox Crossing. MLS Training Class Schedule You can access the MLS Training Schedule by clicking here. Please call RANW to register for one of our classes including:

MLS StatsDon't forget - "MLS Stats" are available to MLS members - the program allows members to quickly and easily pull statistical reports from the MLS data. Under the Misc menu, or by using the MLS Stats button on the right side of the My InnoVia screen, members will log in to the stats program with their InnoVia login and password, and then choose from a variety of reporting options. Commercial
Commercial Data Comes to the RPR AppRPR's app now includes Commercial data and reporting. The full extent of the app's expansion into commercial territory will greatly enhance a REALTOR'S® ability to conduct on-location property searches, analyze a multitude of relevant data sets; and instantly create client-friendly, decision-prompting reports.
The new Commercial mode, easily activated from within the RPR app, is similar to the platform's Commercial website, recognizable by its red theme. Once logged-in, REALTORS® can swipe through three home screens: property search, nearby market activity, and area demographics.
Searching properties in commercial mode will return active (for sale or lease), sold or leased, off market, and distressed properties within a specific area. And every search easily converts to a branded report with a REALTOR'S® photo and contact information. The reports (Commercial Property, Trade Area or Best Business) can be instantly downloaded and/or emailed to a client. To access the full article, please click here.
