Final Dues Deadline for All Members ~ Sunday, December 31st

The final dues deadline to maintain membership for 2018 is Sunday, December 31st.  Please add $50 to the dues amount, as the early discount has passed.

- Mail or drop off personal/certified check/money order made payable to RANW* including the bottom portion of the statement
- Please be sure that RPAC is not paid from an account that is incorporated - see RPAC insert in dues statement.  

* Reminder:  Please remember that the last two days of the year, December 30th and 31st, fall on a weekend, so please pay online OR have the Post Office hand stamp a postmark prior to the weekend.

Open House Watermark - Where Does it Appear?

When entering an open house, the Open House Watermark should appear within approximately 10 minutes after the addition of the open house.
In order for the watermark to display, the photo placeholder area has to be at least 320 pixels wide on whatever report you are viewing. On the Agent Confidential report, for example, the photo placeholder is 320 wide x 240 tall. Photos will be scaled proportionally to take up as much of the photo frame as possible on each report, but some reports do not have a wide enough photo placeholder so the Open House Watermark cannot be seen. Reports that DO show the Watermark include: Agent Confidential, Customer Full, Customer Full 36, all 3 Flyers, and the Tablet. Reports that do NOT show the Watermark include: All Fields Detail, Customer MLS View, the spreadsheets, the galleries, and the multi-ups.
Reminder that MLS guidelines state photos uploaded to Paragon should have a minimum resolution of 1024x768, and taken in landscape orientation. In order for a photo to appear on Zillow, the resolution must be larger than 330x220. If a smaller image is uploaded to a listing, it will not appear on Zillow’s website.

Listing Accuracy has Declined - Please Review your Listings

There has been a sharp increase in reports from members of incorrect listing data on both active and sold properties. This increase is directly in proportion with the increase in companies and agents entering and maintaining their own listings. It appears that members are not always double-checking their new listings for accuracy, and typographical errors are occurring.
Reports of incorrect numbers of bedrooms and baths, finished square feet and garage size information, Heating/Cooling and other features either reported incorrectly or not at all, and typos in Remarks and Directions are causing confusion. Sold listings are affected as well, with the Pending status not being reported accurately or in a timely fashion (skewing DOM statistics), along with increasing errors in selling prices, selling agents, and seller concessions amounts.
Anyone can make a mistake, or have a finger slip on the keyboard – which makes it even more important to review your listing carefully before hitting the “Save” button. Accurate listing information makes it possible for other members to find the best listings for their buyers, for market analyses, and for appraisals. Help the MLS help you by taking an extra few minutes to ensure listing accuracy.

Upload Documents ONLY after a Listing Has Been Saved

Please do not upload documents to "partial" listings. Only upload documents after the listing has been saved to the MLS, and has received an 8-digit MLS number.
Members adding docs to a partial listing is causing issues, and it only causes issues for viewing if the documents were uploaded to a "partial" listing, before the listing was saved to MLS and received an MLS number.
You may add documents when a listing is "UnConfirmed or Confirmed" not when it is a partial.

Choosing Your "Preferred Phone" in Paragon

In Paragon under Preferences/Collab Center/Agent Information, there is a place where you can choose which phone number you want to use as your “Preferred” phone.  It appears the default is the Office phone. 
As long as you have provided all the necessary phone numbers to Membership when you applied, you can go under Preferences and pick the phone number you want to use as your “preferred” phone.

Congratulations, REALTOR Emeritus Recipient!

RANW would like to congratulate Karl Volkman, of First Weber, Inc. in Appleton who was granted the REALTOR® Emeritus designation from NAR at their meetings in November.

Any member who has held membership in the National Association as a REALTOR® for a cumulative period of 40 years in one or more Associations of REALTORS® is eligible for REALTOR® Emeritus status and a waiver of local, state and national dues. As of January 1, 2015, the policy now requires service on a local, state or national association committee as well.
