Government Affairs
Wisconsin's Direct Giver ProgramWe are in the final stretch of RANW's Direct Giver Fundraising period, and we have only reached 50% of our goal. Soon we will be sending out the Association dues bills and then Direct Giver contributions "fall off the radar". Given the enormous issues the real estate industry is facing, we need your support now more than ever, so please send in your Direct Giver checks today. The WRA Direct Giver Program provides an alternative to an RPAC contribution for members who:
- wish to retain full control and direction over who will receive their political contributions.
- wish to give personal contributions to candidates for local and state elections and at the same time benefit the REALTORS® Association.
Direct Giver Process
1. Solicitations: The minimum contribution is $100.00.
2. Checks: Checks can be used and must be made to the WRA Direct Giver Program (not RPAC). Checks can be sent to RANW, W6124 Aerotech Dr., Appleton, WI 54914.
3. Credit Cards: You may also pay on-line via credit card. Click here and login to the WRA site. Or you can call Jennifer at 920.739.9108 with your credit card information and she will take care of it.
4. Control: Contributions to the Direct Giver Program are deposited in a separate bank account from RPAC contributions. Structurally, the WRA then acts like a bank, with disbursements permitted only with the explicit authorization of the contributor. That is, you retain full control on how your direct giver money is spent.
5. Directing Contributions: Contributors may at any time direct their contributions, in whole or in part, to any candidate for local, state or federal office. When disbursing funds, contributors can email or call RANW or WRA to indicate how they wish their money to be distributed.
MLS
Main Photo in MLS - Change in RulesRANW MLS rules have changed so that the main photo can be of the exterior-main structure. Main photo does not need to be the front of the property. Paragon UpdatesScheduling Appointments with Showing Time in Paragon
1) Action icon in Listing Maintenance under "Select an Action" (set up scheduling for a listing)
2) The icon under Listings Maintenance > Select an Action allows the agent to configure the showing settings for that listing - it allows the user access to the same settings they would get by logging into the Showing Time dashboard (outside of Paragon).
Collaboration Center Notifications
Collaboration center notifications have been updated to include a fresh, new responsive design format. In order to retain the template styling and maintain a professional and consistent look, the Rich Text Editor has been replaced with a text box to ensure consistency in the font and formatting when typing a message in the Collaboration Center Notifications. E-mail Signature functionality has been removed from the Collaboration Center notification dialog as all of the pertinent Agent Contact info is now included in the updated Template both at the top and the bottom of the New Template.
In order to support the new Notification Email formats, the rich text editor (which contains options for formatting, adding images, etc.) has been removed. This ensures that the formatting within the Notification Email remains consistent. Users still have the ability to customize the text in the Collaboration Center Notifications, but will not need to worry about formatting.
The new Notification Email template also removes the need for a custom email signature, as the template is designed to use your agent photo, office logo, email, phone, and even your social networking links when available.
PLEASE NOTE: if you use the Notification Settings Message Body, please review your setup in Contacts > View/Manage Contacts. Your existing text will be retained, but any formatting you included will be removed.
Auto-Save Added to CMA Wizard
When creating or modifying a CMA in the CMA Wizard, your progress will be saved automatically when you use the Next\Back buttons or when you click on a Step in the CMA Wizard.
Subject Property: New Combined Maintain and Convert Feature
A new streamlined way to maintain and convert subject property listings is all in one place. The action option to convert a subject property has been removed and all properties can be maintained and/or converted by selecting the Maintain Subject Property hyperlink. When an agent or broker maintains a subject property, the option to convert is automatically displayed in the Functions ribbon. Saving changes to the subject property listing is done via the Save Subject Property button. The Required Only function ribbon option will display all fields to save a subject property or convert it with one click.
Note: The Maintain Subject Property link will be updated to "Maintain/Convert Subject Property" in an upcoming release to make it more descriptive.
Legacy Email Notification Reminder
The legacy email notification setup process allows you to send notifications to your buyers when changes occur within the saved search. However, when you first setup an email notification, the initial list of listings is not sent to your prospective buyer. The agent must manually send these listings. To help remind the agents about sending the initial email list, a pop-up message will present itself after an email notification is set up. This pop-up message confirms that the email notification was setup and reminds the agent to send that initial list of listings. In addition to the reminder, we include a link that will open a new tab with all of the listings from that saved search. This allows the agent to quickly email those listings to their prospective buyer. Listing Maintenance Class ~ Nov. 7th & Dec. 12th, 1:30-3:30 pmTraining Class

Lot Square Footage Auto-Calculation Going AwayRANW has requested Paragon to no longer auto-calculate the Lot square footage on properties, this was due to the appearance of a shortage of the amount due to decimals and calculation. The two fields of Lot Square Footage and Lot Size (and their sources) will remain as optional fields with the Acres field being the primary required field. This change will occur the week of October 16th. RPR Webinar ~ Tuesday, Dec. 5th"Perfect Pricing with Easy, Accurate CMAs from RPR"
