Government Affairs

Election Primaries - Tuesday, August 14th

Don't forget to vote in the Primary Elections to determine who will be on the ballot this November. Since this is a Partisan Primary, you can vote in only one political party which you can declare on the ballot but you still have to vote for the individual candidates on the ballot. Filling in the oval next to your party choice protects your votes in case you accidentally cast a vote for someone in another party.
~ If you choose a party, votes cast in that party will be counted. Votes cast in any other party will not be counted
~ If you do not choose a party, and you vote in more than one party, no votes will be counted.

Paragon Release 5.66 ~ Coming Mid August

RANW is pleased to share the following Paragon updates including thenew Rich Text Editor, the CMA improvements, and the new functionality for Print+. These enhancements are coming soon and significantly improve workflows in Paragon!

Rich Text Editor
We've upgraded the Rich Text Editor (RTE) in Paragon to the latest version! While the front-end functionality remains unchanged, you may notice some differences in the layout, including greater flexibility in crafting your messages and the reliability of a RTE designed to work with current internet standards.

CMA ~
Check out the following CMA improvements!
~ HyperlinkedMLS#
The MLS# on the CMA Comparable page is now hyperlinked and will open the listing details ina dialog box without having to navigate elsewhere!
~ Adjustments
When makings adjustments, the header section is now locked while scrolling, the adjustmentfield is focused when you click to add a manual adjustment, and there is improved integration with saved adjustments. Horizontal Report ~ Layout
Hooray! The horizontal report has been modified to show only the full listing on a page. If there is not enough room to display a listing, it will pushed to the next page to avoid data being cut off.
~ Available Document Count
Want to know how many documents you can upload to a CMA? When adding a document to a CMA, the dialog box now indicates how many remaining documents may be added.

Print+
Generating large PDF files with multiple listings and multiple reports does take time. Now, simply minimize the Print+ dialogue box to run in the background while you continue to work in Paragon.

New Paragon Theme!
We heard you liked new themes. So we got you a new theme. Our latest Paragon banner theme is inspired by the Southwest and incorporates some traditional elements from the region. Watch the clouds fly by and maybe a few more fun items.

Making The Most of Your RANW MLS Searches Easier

RANW MLS is working with Paragon to bring properties in the WIREX database which are located in RANW markets, but are listed by agents who are members of other MLSs – to be included in the RANW main database, not just available through WIREX search. This will make searches of all local listings* more complete and much more convenient for our RANW members. This is expected to be completed by the end of August!
(* RANW Markets: 23 counties: Adams, Brown, Calumet, Dodge, Door, Fond Du Lac, Green Lake, Kewaunee, Lincoln, Manitowoc, Marathon, Marinette, Marquette, Menominee, Oconto, Outagamie, Portage, Shawano, Sheboygan, Waupaca, Waushara, Winnebago, Wood.)

Lockbox Program

New Service for RANW MLS Members: Supra Non-Member Access for WIREX Users

Overview: RANW Member: Are you working with a fellow REALTOR in an MLS in WIREX and want to give them access to a lockbox on your Company listing in the RANW MLS?

Non-member access is NOT for those members who already have reciprocal access through Central WI MLS, South Central WI MLS, La Crosse and/or Western Wisconsin MLS. For a complete list of areas with Supra Reciprocal access, WIREX coverage areas and WRA Board Jurisdictions, click
HERE.

Non-member access
Supra Keyholders/members of the RANW MLS Lockbox System can use SupraWEB to set up WIREX non-member access. This can be done for as little as 2 hours access to 72 hours access where the non-member can access the lockbox a number of times within the set up time. Click HERE for more information.

Reciprocal Key Access

RANW MEMBERS: RANW MLS has a reciprocal key agreement with Central MLS, South Central Wisconsin MLS (includes Associations/MLSs of Dodge County and Rock Green), La Crosse WI MLS and Western WI MLS.

REALTOR® members of the RANW MLS wanting to show properties in those areas need to call the RANW MLS office at 920-739-9108 or 1-800-817-7657 to request the reciprocal key access. Once Central, South Central, La Crosse or Western WI MLS has authorized access, the MLS member will be notified.

The RANW MLS rules still apply under the special reciprocal Key Agreements and use. To remind you of a few: You must set up a showing, you may not access the property without an appointment, and you may not share your key with any other member.

NON-RANW MEMBERS with a Supra Key:
How to get a Reciprocal Key to show RANW MLS Properties:
1. Contact your primary board office. Central MLS, South Central Wisconsin MLS (includes Associations/MLSs of Dodge County and Rock Green) La Crosse Wisconsin MLS and Western Wisconsin MLS have reciprocal key agreements with the RANW MLS.
        a.) Central WI MLS: 715-693-7326
b.) South Central WI MLS: 608-240-2801
c.) La Crosse WI MLS: 608-785-7744
        d.) Western WI MLS: 888-666-6566

2.
Once a key agreement is filled out, signed by your broker and submitted to RANW MLS by Central, South Central, La Crosse or Western we will be able to set up reciprocal access.

3.
Your primary board office will contact you when the key access is set up.

4. You will have to perform an update to your eKEY app in order to sync your smart device to incorporate the change. You must set up a showing, you may not access the RANW MLS property without an appointment, and you may not share your key with any other member or WIREX non-member.

Bluetooth and Use of the Supra Lockbox System: Facts to Assist Members Experiencing Bluetooth Issues

What is Bluetooth? Why do I need to know? Why will this information help me at a showing?

Bluetooth- Short-range wireless interconnection of mobile phones, computers, and other electronic devices. Send data from one electronic device to another via Bluetooth. Example: Some cars now offer Bluetooth so you can speak on your phone hands-free. The RANW MLS issues Bluetooth lockboxes that communicate with smart phones/devices wirelessly.

Origin- 1990s: Said to be named after King Harald Bluetooth (910-985), credited with uniting Denmark and Norway, as Bluetooth technology unifies the telecommunications and computing industries.

Why do I need to know this? If you are using a Supra eKEY to open RANW MLS Lockboxes, you will need to know how to turn on the Bluetooth on your smart phone/device as well as activate the Bluetooth on the Lockbox itself.

Bluetooth Lockboxes (Supra iBox BT LE): Our Supra Lockboxes are brand new as of Winter 2017. These lockboxes were designed with Bluetooth technology and are classified as iBox BT LE. The Bluetooth technology built into the lockboxes allow our smart phones and tablets to wirelessly connect to and open the lockboxes. Pushing up on the bottom of the key container until the red light is blinking on the front of the lockbox activates the Bluetooth technology inside of the lockbox. This must be done each time we manipulate the lockbox otherwise the lockbox will remain 'asleep' or inactive.

How to find the Bluetooth on your smart phone/tablet:
-Find the logo for 'Settings' on your Android, iPhone or Tablet. The logo for settings looks like a grey/silver machine gear on all devices.
-Tap on Bluetooth or Connected Devices and then Bluetooth.
-Tap the button to the right of the Bluetooth field so that it reads 'on' 
-Your Bluetooth is now on and ready to use! There are a variety of products on the market that use Bluetooth to connect wirelessly such as Bluetooth speakers, boat or vehicle radios and speakers, headphones, keyboards, microphones, etc.

Tips and Troubleshooting for Bluetooth and Bluetooth Lockboxes (Supra iBox BT LE):
Example of good practice at a showing:
-Tap update in your eKEY app while you are still at the office or at home. This will ensure your eKEY will be set up for the day.

-Check that your Bluetooth is on and watch videos on how to operate RANW MLS lockboxes before you go. For video tutorials on how to open a lockbox key container and shackle, please click
HERE. Once you are at the video tutorials page, click on the video you wish to view.

-*Go to your showing EARLY to ensure any technical problems you may have are taken care of before your clients arrive.

See common problems and troubleshooting techniques below:

-Check to see if your Bluetooth is on.
-Reset your Bluetooth by tapping the on/off toggle first off and then on.
-Restarting your smart phone/device may allow your device to reset itself and start fresh. (9 times out of 10, this restart will refresh your phone and surpass any technical issues you may be having with eKEY and lockboxes.
-Other Bluetooth devices, paired to your smart phone/device may sporadically interfere with Bluetooth communication to lockboxes. This happens (rarely) when members are using eKEY and also have multiple Bluetooth items paired to their smart phone/device. Most of the time a simple restart of your Bluetooth will fix this issue. If a paired item in your Bluetooth inventory is effecting your eKEY use, you may need to disconnect or unpair this item from your Bluetooth inventory while using eKEY. Disconnect an item by tapping the blue arrow to the right of the device in your Bluetooth inventory. This will bring you to a screen specific to that paired device. Tap Disconnect. If your smart phone/device does not have blue arrows visible in the Bluetooth menu, tap and hold on a Bluetooth device and tap unpair. Restart your smart phone/device.
-Check to see that you are using the right 4-digit pin code to obtain the key(s) out of the lockbox key container. If you have forgotten your pin, you may log into your SupraWEB account at any time (supraekey.com) and get or change this code. If you do not have a SupraWEB account set up, please do so by going to Supraekey.com and click on register for new agents. Once your account is set up, you will see the option to change or view your pin in the options on the left side of the page. For a full SupraWEB guide with helpful screenshots and how-tos, please click HERE.
-If opening a shackle, check to make sure you are using the correct shackle code. These codes are organized and kept by your Company. Each lockbox is assigned a shackle code individual to that box. Also make sure you are pushing up on the key container to activate the Bluetooth technology.

For additional help, please call the RANW MLS Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm Central Time: 920-739-9108 or e-mail khubers@ranw.org and aschilling@ranw.org. If you are receiving an error code while using eKEY, this would be helpful to include in your call or e-mail. Supra Member Support is also available 7 days/week 7am-9pm Central Time: 877-699-6787.
