DSPS Real Estate License Renewal Deadline ~ Friday, December 14th
The Wisconsin Department of Safety & Professional Services (DSPS) license renewal deadline is fast approaching! You should have already received an email from the DSPS with license renewal information or you can click here for a link to the online renewal portal.
The DSPS requires the completion of four mandatory and two elective CE courses to renew your real estate license by 12-14-18.
When licensees renew online they will be asked to confirm course title, school/sponsor, course dates and CE hours. For more information on how to check at www.wra.org for classes you've taken, click here and enter your myWRA login and password.
New Licensees Must Complete CE This Biennium
According to the DSPS website:
~ If an agent was issued a license before October 1, 2018, they MUST complete the CE hours to renew their real estate licenses prior to December 14th.
~ After October 1, 2018, agents are exempt from completing the required CE for only the December 14, 2018 renewal.
All Real Estate Salespersons will be required to complete the required CE for all renewals after the upcoming 2018 renewal, unless their license was issued after October 1 in an even year. Click here for details.

Wisconsin's Direct Giver Program - Time Is Running Out
There are just a few weeks left to become a Direct Giver for 2018. Any checks that are not received and processes before Christmas can only be counted as contributions for 2019.
The WRA Direct Giver Program provides an alternative to an RPAC contribution for members who:
- wish to retain full control and direction over who will receive their political contributions.
- wish to give personal contributions to candidates for local and state elections and at the same time benefit the REALTORS® Association.
Direct Giver Process
1. Solicitations: The minimum contribution is $100.00.
2. Checks: Checks can be used and must be made to the WRA Direct Giver Program (not RPAC). Checks can be sent to RANW, W6124 Aerotech Dr., Appleton, WI 54914.
3. Credit Cards: You may also pay on-line via credit card. Click here and login to the WRA site. Or you can call Jennifer at 920.739.9108 with your credit card information and she will take care of it.
4. Control: Contributions to the Direct Giver Program are deposited in a separate bank account from RPAC contributions. Structurally, the WRA then acts like a bank, with disbursements permitted only with the explicit authorization of the contributor. That is, you retain full control on how your direct giver money is spent.
5. Directing Contributions: Contributors may at any time direct their contributions, in whole or in part, to any candidate for local, state or federal office. When disbursing funds, contributors can email or call RANW or WRA to indicate how they wish their money to be distributed.

Paragon 5.68 Release Enhancements
The following section contains changes that are active system wide and available to users based on their assigned security levels. Driving Directions is Now Generated in Google Maps
We are excited to announce that the Paragon driving directions has been revamped. The dialog has been redesigned and will redirect the user to Google Maps via a new browser tab. Once in Google, the map is interactive and users can enjoy all the features that Google has to offer. Larger Map in Print+ Driving Directions
When customers access driving directions from Print+, the map has been enlarged and the destination letters that represent listings on the map have also been added to the step by step directions next to the associated listing address. This helps customers identify which letter represents which listing on the map. Paragon's New Midwest Theme!
A new theme has been added to the Paragon database. This time, we didn't have to travel very far. Introducing the "Midwest" theme. Known for farming, BBQ, and bad weather? Check out this latest addition today. Center Map on Address - Update
The colors on the dropdown has been reversed so that the background is white and the address is gray. This more consistently resembles the coloring of the Map Layers panel. Collab LinkShare: Copy Link Functionality
A button that will copy the sharing URL to a user's local device has been added for the CollabLink Share function. Users will no longer need to highlight and copy the URL to their device manually. The Copy Link button will copy the CollabLink URL to the clipboard of the user's device which can then be pasted where needed. Collab Center: Make an Offer
Consumers can now send information to their real estate agent to make an offer on a property. The consumer will fill out a form requesting the offer price, proposed closing date, and any special terms associated with the offer. This will cause an email to be sent to the agent with the details of the property and the offer so that the agent can contact the consumer and a contract can be written. Collab Center: Make My New Home Consumers now have the ability to select one or more properties as their new home. What this means is that after an offer has been accepted, the consumer can mark the property(ies) as the one that they intend to purchase. In doing so, this will cause a new tab to be added to the Collaboration Center as the first tab, 'My New Home'. All properties marked as' my new home' will appear on this tab. This enhancement is the first step in simplifying the Collaboration Center setup for users that are setting up their Collaboration Center site for the first time. Instead of requiring agents to create their Collaboration Center (CC) site, the system will automatically create the URL when Contacts or Collaboration Center Preferences are accessed. Users that have already created a CC site will not be affected by this enhancement. Collab Center - Black Knight Privacy Policy
In order to keep in compliance with our Black Knight legal department, a privacy policy link was added to Collaboration Center. The link can be found on the hamburger menu and detail report of Collaboration Center, Collab Link, and public detail report from Collaboration Center. Updated Contact Activity Widget
This enhancement brings a major upgrade to the existing Contact Activity Widget. The new, four-tab layout is designed to provide direct access to client activity from Collaboration Center. Although this new functionality heavily leans toward information from user's Collaboration Center sites, users can still access all Contacts including those not yet setup on Collaboration Center by clicking the Contact Activity title on the Contact Activity widget. Needless to say, Collaboration Center is not only the solution of the future, but it is the Agent/Consumer communication feature of now.
Tax Autofill Update
MLS is currently testing the tax autofill option for listing input and maintenance. Upon successful testing, this option will be available to members.
MLS Basics Class Offered ~ Tuesday, December 4th
Every MLS does things a little bit differently, so learn what RANW MLS needs you to know! The MLS Basics class will cover our rules and recommended listing procedures, offer a review of listing data and forms needed to complete your listings, cover some of the basics of using Paragon, and provide info on the Supra lockbox program.
This class is a great supplement to the Listing Input and Maintenance (LIM) training, and can be attended by new as well as long-time members and office admins who might like a refresher course.

Lockbox System Use Clarification
The RANW MLS Supra Lockbox System is available for REALTOR® Member Companies in MLS and for RANW Affiliate Member Home Inspectors who are licensed or registered Home Inspectors in the State of Wisconsin. Please see the following further clarifications regarding the purpose of the RANW MLS Lockbox system and the limitations on members' use of the system and Lockbox Keys:
Purpose
(1.) REALTOR® Keyholders:
(a) A REALTOR/MLS Subscriber Keyholder shall use the Key only for the intended purpose of gaining authorized entry into property listings submitted to RANW MLS on which a System Lockbox has been installed, and only as relates to the sale or purchase or appraisal of said property for clients and customers and only as authorized by the listing company in advance.
(b) A REALTOR® Keyholder may use their Lockbox Key to open a listed property for a third party if authorized in writing by Seller and Listing Company as relates to the sale, purchase or appraisal of the property.
(2.) Affiliate Home Inspector Keyholders:
(a) An Affiliate Home Inspector Keyholder shall use the Key only for the intended purpose of gaining authorized entry into real property on which a System Lockbox has been installed, and only for the limited purpose of performing services specifically authorized under the terms of the Offer to Purchase/Addenda in the Home Inspection and/or Testing provisions, subject to prior authorization from the listing company, and all other authorization limitations and elsewhere in the Affiliate Lockbox Agreement.
Further,
(b) Only employees of the Home Inspector Company who are also Registered Home Inspectors and authorized Keyholders may access a property listed in MLS via their respective assigned Key to perform work as authorized above in (a)and (b).
(c) An Affiliate Home Inspector Keyholder may not use their Lockbox key to let an employee of their company who is not an authorized Keyholder into the property unless they are under director supervision of Keyholder.
(d) An Affiliate Home Inspector Keyholder may not use their Lockbox Key to let in a third party, or an employee of another company, into the listed property.
The Affiliate Home Inspector Company may not use the privilege of access to the MLS Lockbox System in advertising related to their Home Inspection or other company(ies).
All Keyholders: Prior Authorization from Listing Company
Having a Key does not allow automatic access to properties in MLS. All Keyholders must have prior written authorization from the listing company to access the property for each visit.

An all-new eKEY app is targeted for release on Wednesday, December 19 2018.
How and when will the app be delivered?
For eKEY app users that have automatic app updates turned on, the app stores will automatically deliver the app to a percentage of users over a 7-day period.
eKEY app users that manually update apps when there is a new release, or anyone that doesn’t want to wait for the automatic update to occur, can download the new eKEY app as soon as it is available on the app stores.
How to enable or disable automatic updates:
On an iPhone, tap Settings > iTunes & App Store and enable or disable the setting for Apps.
On an Android device, open the Google Play Store app and tap Menu > Settings. Tap Auto-update apps and choose the option.
Do the apps need a new authorization code?
The eKEY app does not require a new authorization as long as it is installed on a device (Android or iPhone) that already has an authorized eKEY app.
Minimum Requirements for the new eKEY app
The minimum requirements for the new eKEY app are:
Apple iOS 10 or grater
Android OS 5 or greater
If anyone does not have either of these operating systems, the new eKEY app will not install. The old eKEY app will continue to work but it will no longer be updated.
Will all of the new features be available immediately?
Some enhanced features in the eKEY app including the ability to see listing photos, Supra Home Tour, and upgrade to eKEY Pro within the app will be rolling out over the coming weeks. Supra requires an updated agreement with your organization in order to integrate listing data for eKEY Pro only. eKEY Basic will continue for all members.

Each keyholder will have the option to keep eKEY Professional (eKEY Pro) at an additional monthly cost, paid to Supra, available as a keyholder lease.
Sometime in January 2019, all RANW MLS members will have their Key switched to eKEY Basic unless a new agreement is signed with RANW MLS in order to continue using the eKEY Pro, plus additional cost due to Supra in order to use the eKEY Professional version of the app. If you are interested in paying the additional cost for eKEY Professional, please

Don't Lose Your REALTOR Membership! Required Ethics Deadline is 12-31-18
REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training of not less than 2 hours, 30 minutes of instructional time within two-year cycles.
The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®. A new two-year cycle began January 1, 2017. The deadline for this cycle is December 31, 2018. Training may be completed through the following options:

REALTOR Emeritus Applications Due by March 25th
REALTOR® Emeritus is a NAR designation available to any current REALTOR® member in good standing who has been a REALTOR® consistently for at least 40 years in a local board and a member of NAR, who currently serves on a local, state or national association committee.
~ Applications submitted in the years 2015 through 2019 will require proof of one (1) year of service* at the local, state, or National Association level.
* “Service” is defined as serving as an officer, director, committee member, federal political coordinator, president’s liaison or regional coordinator to a country with which NAR holds a reciprocal agreement.
In some cases, RANW does not have data from the year a REALTOR® joined, so we don't notify members. If you feel you qualify for REALTOR® Emeritus, please contact Cheryl at cdreger@ranw.org by March 25, 2019. RANW will work with you to complete the application and provide evidence of your 40 years and proof of service to submit to NAR.
