Government Affairs

Another Successful REALTOR & Government Day

On April 24, 2019 over 400 REALTORS® from around the state gathered for WRA's annual REALTOR® & Government lobby day in Madison. Northeast Wisconsin was also well represented with almost 50 RANW members. Thank you to everyone for taking time out of your busy schedules to further our advocacy mission!
As part of this day, RANW members met with legislators and their staff in the Assembly Parlor of the capitol to discuss four issues WRA is currently working on: Property tax relief; First Time Home Buyer Savings Accounts; Upgrades to the DSPS website; and Seller surveillance during showings. You can view the complete talking points on these issues
here
Once again, REALTORS® demonstrated the collective strength and influence the industry has in shaping laws and public policy that affects home ownership and property rights in Wisconsin.

Attention Brokers - Office Visits

Please consider adding a legislative update to your next office meeting agenda. I would welcome the opportunity to speak to your agents about the association's legislative priories for this session and how RPAC and Direct Giver contributions can make a difference to our success as an industry.
As brokers, you have a unique opportunity to encourage agents within your office to get involved. Your example and encouragement sends a very strong message about the importance of supporting the advocacy effort of theAssociation. To schedule an office visit, please contact me at jsunstrom@ranw.org or call 920.739.9108.

Calling All Direct Givers!

May marks the start of RANW's official Direct Giver fundraising season. Although you can contribute to Direct Giver anytime during the year, we try to raise funds by mid-summer. So, if you are one of our loyal yearly contributors to Direct Giver, or are thinking of becoming a Direct Giver this year, please don't wait to send in your contribution! You can contribute in one of two ways:
1) Send a personal check payable to WRA Direct Giver (minimum of $100) and mail to RANW, W6124 Aerotech Drive, Appleton WI 54914
2) Pay
via credit card online or call Jennifer at 920.739.9108 and she will call in your information to WRA.
