Emergency Food Boxes for Children in Need

In response to the significant increase in demand due to COVID-19, the Wisconsin REALTORS® Foundation (WRF) is helping Feeding Wisconsin and its network of statewide food banks raise money for emergency food boxes to be distributed to those in need.

Wisconsin food banks and pantries are experiencing unprecedented increased demand; two to four times the need for their services. With food-insecure children out of school for the remainder of the school year, more pressure is placed on families to budget and provide breakfast and lunch for their children every day. A recent survey from Hunger Free America found over the last month, 37% of parents nationwide cut the size of meals or skipped meals for their children because there is not enough money for food.

The WRF is dedicated to helping children who struggle with hunger, and we are asking for your financial donation to help Wisconsin's children in need by donating to help raise money for these emergency food boxes. Each 10-pound box contains:
~ Protein items (e.g. peanut butter, canned meat/tuna, beans)
~ Canned fruits and vegetables
~ Carbohydrate items (e.g. pasta, rice, instant mashed potatoes, mac & cheese)
~ Ready-to-eat meals (e.g. canned soup, canned pasta)
~ Additional items may include cereal, pancake/muffin mix, pasta sauce and snacks.
Today, you can make a REAL difference by helping those in need during COVID-19. Learn more about the WRF at
www.wra.org/WRF.

With the current pandemic leaving summer events so uncertain and the Timber Rattlers schedule still not announced, RANW with enormous regret has had to cancel the June 4th Timber Rattlers Event for Make-A-Wish Northeast Wisconsin. PPP Update and EIDL Funding Update

On April 24, President Trump signed a $483B package which is generally referred to as the Phase 3.5 coronavirus package. The bill includes $310B in additional funding for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), $60B in funding EIDL small business grant/loan programs, $75B for hospitals, and $25B for testing efforts. Notably, of the $310B PPP funding, $30B is for mid-sized depositories (i.e., $10B to $50B in assets) and $30B is for community financial institutions and smaller depositories (i.e., <$10B in assets). Effectively, the statute creates three separate funding pools and it is unclear at this stage how the SBA will police those volumes. The initial tranche of PPP funding was exhausted in roughly two weeks and it is expect this tranche to be disbursed in a relatively similar time period, which suggests that Congress will be forced to consider a third tranche of PPP funding as part of the forthcoming Phase 4 negotiations. LIM Users: Please Don't Ignore This LIM Save Message

Members using LIM to add/edit listings have been clicking through a very important message, and it is causing their listings to return to an Unconfirmed Listing Visibility (among other issues). The message, which may pop up when someone is saving changes to a listing, reads: ATTENTION: Another User is currently editing this record. Please CANCEL your changes by closing the listing in Listing Maintenance, selecting NO when prompted to save the changes and then try again in 30 minutes. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN THE LOSS OF THE OTHER USER'S CHANGES."

The other person making changes could be an Office Admin adding photos or documents to a new listing, a Listing Agent updating Remarks before their listing goes live, or - farther down the road - a Price Change or Status Change update being processed. Only the most recent change will be saved; the changes done by the other person within that 30 minute period will be discarded.

When Data Entry sees this message, they will not save their changes and will set the listing aside for at least 30 minutes. If they have updated the Listing Status of a listing from Unconfirmed to Confirmed, and within that 30 minute period someone makes updates to the listing (photos, documents, data updates) and that person DOES NOT CANCEL their change - the listing will roll back from Confirmed to Unconfirmed.
~ This will mean that no other member will be able to find the listing in MLS.
~ If the listing had been sent out in a Collab Center email when it was confirmed, customers and agents will not be able to find the listing.
~ If the listing had gone to IDX sites or Showing Time or Realtor.com or Zillow - the data will become mismatched, which can cause issues even after a listing's visibility is discovered and re-changed.

If you have questions about any of the messages received when saving a listing, please contact MLS or Paragon Support. Each message gives important information, and options to fix or accept/acknowledge each individual item. We are all happy to assist members and make sure the listings are reflecting accurate data.

MLS Clear Cooperation Policy - Effective April 1, 2020

The National Association of REALTORS®' Board of Directors approved MLS Policy 8.0, also known as the Clear Cooperation Policy. The policy requires listing brokers who are participants in an MLS to submit their listing within one business day of marketing the property to the public. Here is the full text of MLS Statement 8.0:

"Within one (1) business day of marketing a property to the public, the listing broker must submit the listing to the MLS for cooperation with other MLS participants. Public marketing includes, but is not limited to, flyers displayed in windows, yard signs, digital marketing on public facing websites, brokerage website displays (including IDX and VOW), digital communications marketing (email blasts), multi-brokerage listing sharing networks, and applications available to the general public."

The new RANW MLS submission rules went into effect April 1,2020, with a grace period until July 1st, 2020, for fines. From April 1st -July 1st warning notices will be sent to MLS Participants, based on verified complaints received from members. Thereafter, violations will be subject to a progressive fine schedule.

Also new, the RANW MLS local portion of this NAR Rule includes a new required form to be signed by the Seller for any Delay or Exclusion from MLS. Please click link for new form.  For more information, please see also the WRA Legal Update, December, 2019 regarding MLS Clear Cooperation Policy.  For the full RANW MLSRules, click here.
