The annual membership renewal dues were generated and mailed out to each member's preferred mailing address on September 29th. RANW also emailed renewal information to all members on October 2nd. The easiest way to pay is by logging into your member portal with your member id or NRDS id.

NEW WIRE FRAUD WARNING
In both the revised WB-36 Buyer Agency Agreement andthe new WB-39 Tenant Representation Agreement, there is anew provision. The new Wire Fraud Warning tries to speak tothe parties in terms they will understand and convince themto not wire funds for their transaction without personallyobtaining independent verification from a trustworthy,known source that the wire instructions they are about to useare indeed correct. This warning, indented and boxed in foremphasis, and placed right above the signature lines where itwill get more attention, is believed to be a more effective wayof imparting this message.The boxed wire fraud warning shown on page 6 appears inboth the newly revised WB-36 and the new WB-39 just abovethe signature lines.
FCC To Conduct Test of EAS and WEA ~ October 4th
FEMA, in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) on October 4th at 1:20 pm. The national test will consist of two portions, testing WEA and EAS capabilities.
The WEA portion of the test will be directed to all consumer cell phones. This will be the third nationwide test, but the second test to all cellular devices. The test message will display in either English or in Spanish, depending on the language settings of the wireless handset.

To maintain real estate licenses in the state of Wisconsin, real estate licensees must complete 18 hours of continuing education (CE) every two years. For the new biennium, the 18 hours include the completion of 18 one-hour course topics, comprised of 12 mandatory courses and six elective courses.

Notice of Annual Meeting and Election of Directors ~ Thursday, November 2, 2023

Annual Meeting: 9:15 a.m.
The election of Directors for the 2024-2026 RANW Board of Directors will take place at the RANW Annual Meeting on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the Double Tree by Hilton, Appleton, during the business portion of the meeting which begins at 9:15 a.m. Elections shall be by RANW REALTOR® Members by voice or hand vote, or by ballot if there is more than one nomination per Director position to be filled; and all votes shall be cast in person. Any ballot shall contain the names of all candidates and the position for which they are nominated. The Nominating Committee Slate is to be announced no later than three weeks preceding the Election. Additional candidates for the offices to be filled may be placed in nomination by a petition signed by at least 10% of the RANW REALTOR® members. The petition shall be filed with the Secretary at least two weeks before the election at which time REALTOR® members will be notified of such additional nominations. No write-in nominations or nominations from the floor shall be accepted (ref: RANW Bylaws Article XI).

Housing Now Coalition and the Say Yes to Housing! Public Education Campaign
RANW has spearheaded a coalition of business stakeholders across Northeast Wisconsin including local builders associations, local chambers of commerce, economic development groups, and other business and trade organizations who have come together to raise public awareness of the current housing crisis and to advocate for creative solutions to provide more housing for everyone. The coalition has a dedicated Facebook & Instagram page and website that will provides the public with additional information and resources regarding the housing crisis.SAY YES to HOUSING! The Housing Now Coalition is conducting a public education campaign utilizing four boosted Facebook ads as well as a 30-second YouTube video which will run for a total of 12 weeks. When should I send in my contribution?
Well, today would be great! We are officially trying to wrap up RANW's Direct Giver Fundraising period. We ask that all members who have been Direct Givers, or wish to become new Direct Givers please send in your contribution now so that we are able to help candidates who are raising funds and campaigning for next year's election. The WRA Direct Giver Program provides a great opportunity for members who:
wish to retain full control and direction over who will receive their political contributions
wish to give personal contributions to candidates for local and state elections and at the same time benefit the REALTORS® Association
Direct Giver Process
Solicitations: The minimum contribution is $50.00
Checks: Checks can be used and must be made to the WRA Direct Giver Program (not RPAC). Checks can be sent to RANW, W6124 Aerotech Dr., Appleton, WI 54914.
Credit Cards: You may also pay on-line via credit card. Click here and login to the WRA site. Or you can call Jennifer at 920.739.9108 with your credit card information and she will take care of it.
Control: Contributions to the Direct Giver Program are deposited in a separate bank account from RPAC contributions. Structurally, the WRA then acts like a bank, with disbursements permitted only with the explicit authorization of the contributor. That is, you retain full control on how your direct giver money is spent.
Directing Contributions: Contributors may at any time direct their contributions, in whole or in part, to any candidate for local, state or federal office. When disbursing funds, contributors can email or call RANW or WRA to indicate how they wish their money to be distributed.

How to Expire Out a Listing
Document Settings: Keeping Private Docs Private
Please make sure to select the correct private Document Type when uploading price change amendments, extensions, etc.
For price changes – Contract Amendment Price-Private should be selected
For extensions or expiring out a listing early – Contract Amendment Expiration Date Change-Private should be selected
For amendments with a price change AND extension – Amendment Price AND Date Change-Private should be selected
For withdrawn – Contract Amendment Withdrawn-Private should be selected
Seller Authorization form – Delayed Showings or Exclude from MLS-Private should be selected
All Other Private Documents – Custom-Private should be selected
For new listings only - Listing Contract-Private should be selected
The Public/Emailable checkbox determines whether a public document will be shared with WIREX, shared in listing carts, or will be able to be emailed; it will not hide a public document from viewers in Paragon. Ethics Deadline is 12-31-24 - Submit CE Course 4 to RANW
A new three-year ethics cycle began January 1, 2022, and the deadline is December 31, 2024.
REALTORS® are required by NAR to complete ethics training of not less than 2 hours, 30 minutes of instructional time within three-year cycle. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®. Training may be completed through the following options:
~ Course 4: Wisconsin Risk Reduction Through Professionalism (fulfills NAR Ethics) (send Crs 4 certificate to RANW)
~ New Member Orientation class completed January, 2022-December, 2024
