Thank You to all 2017 Direct Giver and RPAC Contributors!

Not only were we able to exceed our fundraising goal for 2017, but we had one of the highest participation rates in the state at 49%!!! Slowly, but surely we are moving closer to having each member financially support the association's advocacy efforts and help elect and reelect candidates who support the real estate industry and private property rights.

The RANW Government Affairs Committee and the RANW Board of Directors, sincerely thank every single person who gave what they could either to RPAC or to the DirectGiver Program. Although we are not able to list all members who so generously support the RPAC program, every single dollar counts! A special thank you is also extended to the 2017 Government Affairs Committee Chair: Sue Hietpas and the entire Government Affairs Committee, as well as so many brokers who have helped highlight the importance of RPAC to their agents. If you have any questions regarding RPAC or Direct Giver, or if you would like to become involved in the Association, please contact Jennifer Sunstrom, RANW Government Affairs Director at jsunstrom@ranw.org or (920)739-9108

RPAC Office Participation Awards - 2017

In an effort to increase the percentage of members who contribute to either RPAC or Direct Giver, the Association is asking brokers to help highlight advocacy and other legislative activity; educating agents about RPAC and why it is so important to their business; setting an example of giving.  These efforts by brokers play a critical role in the overall success of the Association as a whole.
Therefore, RANW and the Government Affairs Committee have established a recognition program for offices that meet the following participation levels in their individual offices: * Note these levels:

Agent Photos in Paragon - 3 Places to Upload/Check Image

Within the Paragon program, there are three different places where Agent Photos can be uploaded - to appear on displays/reports/spec sheets, to the Email Signature, and to the Collab Center. Each photo placeholder is slightly different in size. When uploading the agent photo initially (under Preferences), the following apply:
1. 1280 X 960 Max resolution - system will compress higher resolution photos
2. JPG, PNG & GIF file types allowed - will be converted to JPG once uploaded
3. Special Characters (& , * , / , etc.) cannot be used in the file name.
4. There are no dimension requirements i.e. the photo can be rectangular or square. The agent photos on the report views will pull from the photo uploaded to the user's preferences. The default agent image dimensions on a report are 150 x 115 (rectangular), though those dimensions are customizable. For example, the Customer Full report currently has the agent image size set to 92 x 92 (square) and the Customer MLS View has the agent image size set to 147 x 112 (rectangular). The agent image will scale to fit the image size set on each report and will be limited by the larger dimension -- i.e the photo will be scaled down to fit and will not "stretch" to fit.
When setting up an email signature, the default agent photo size inserted is 105 x 117 (mostly square). The dimensions are customizable and can be edited, and the photo should scale to fit (and not stretch). The photo in the email signature can be customized by the user, and doesn't necessarily have to be the image from their Preferences.
On Collab Center, the image is stretched to fit the 100 x 100 image box, which can cause distortion on a rectangular image. The Collab Center image pulls from the user's Collab Center Preferences > About Me. Collab Center is the only location where the image proportions are absolute and can't currently be changed, so if an agent wants to have a single agent photo that works in all locations they will want to go with a photo that is more square than rectangular.

Choosing Your "Preferred Phone" in Paragon

In Paragon under Preferences/Collab Center/Agent Information, there is a place where you can choose which phone number you want to use as your “Preferred” phone.  It appears the default is the Office phone.
As long as you have provided all the necessary phone numbers to Membership when you applied, you can go under Preferences and pick the phone number you want to use as your “preferred” phone.
There are multiple places you can choose a Preferred Phone number. In Paragon’s Preferences area, there are wizards that can lead you through different settings, allowing you to customize Paragon to your needs. You can re-do your Preferences Wizards at any time.

How to Find Agent Sales Production

Member agents can go to Resources > Statistical Reporting, and then use the "MLS Statistics" report.  Choose the desired Date Range, and select any other criteria needed before building the report.
This report gives the numbers, but does not identify listings by MLS number; if that level of detail is needed, then a broker/manager with their higher security level must run the "Sales Detail" report for the agent (also available under Resources > Statistical Reporting).

How to Run a Reverse Prospecting Report for your Listing

Reverse Prospecting reports give detailed information for an individual listing, letting a listing agent know how that listing is doing as far as matching saved searches or contact records, how many times the listing has been emailed from Paragon, and various hit count statistics.
To run a Reverse Prospecting report, select Listings > Maintain Listings, find the individual listing in the results, then choose Select an Action and then Activity Report.

Did Your Contact Accidentally "Opt Out" of Receiving Emails?

Here's how to help them opt back in ~ click here
Enter the Contact's email address in the box provided, and then click the "Next" button in the lower right corner of the screen.
Make sure the radio button "Any agent using this software" is selected, and then click the "Next" button in the lower right corner of the screen.
This will generate an email to your Contact.
The Contact must open the email and click on the confirmation link within 72 hours to opt back in to receiving email from the Paragon system.  If your contact does not click to confirm within that timeframe, you will need to repeat these steps.

Lockboxes Are For Doorknobs

RANW is consistently getting reports of lockboxes on railings or on the ground. Lockboxes are intended for use on doorknobs. We sell door protectors at a very reasonable price here at RANW, if your clients are worried about the lockbox damaging the exterior of the door.
Placing lockboxes on railings can jam the shackle and leaves them more exposed to the elements. Leaving lockboxes on the ground in the winter is also not the best practice for obvious reasons. Getting lockboxes cut off by the locksmith can cost up to $100 per box.

Welcome to the Lockbox Program
